I was born in 1987. I came of age as 9/11 happened. Then, I watched my older friends go to war. We were all told it was to defend freedom, and we were absolutely lied to. Our lives became more survieled under the guise of safety. We watched a political system market itself on “Hope and Change” only for bigotry to be the overt standard in many places around our nation. Houses became unaffordable, and jobs became more exploitative than ever. The internet became privatized, and we became the product for data brokers.

The younger ones were born into this world, and many of us are so jaded at the possibility of a better world being possible that we have not passed down that hope. Instead of teaching them to change things, maybe Abiding is the solution.

It’s so cliche to talk about how the younger generation isn’t cutting it like we did. That we had it harder. That we weren’t that ignorant.

But we also need to remember that these two newer generations came along at a time where the changes we saw are literally their normal. As we blame our parents for, we too long for and only see a world in which we grew up. We only just began to understand it ourselves. Yes, some of what we went through was different, but the core notion is the same.

So then, what is it? Is it the internet? The iPads? The lack of outdoor playtime? The so-called pandemic?

What is it that we are looking for, so desperately, that we have fallen into the same niche we took every painful step to avoid? When did we become our fathers?

Mistress in the Flames

A Forum GSC, THC 25.12%

Story

Haven’t I told you about my Mistress in the Flames? She is a fire elemental. I know how to conjure her.

All you need is Hemp wick and a source of fire, like a match or lighter, whatever works. Just don’t be stupid with this girl. She has a hot disposition, ignore her, just a little, and she will burn you, literally.

To see her, light the hemp wick and watch. She is slow to rise but as her flame grows so does she. Her body is the orange glowing hemp fibers. The hemp fibers move, and sway in the flame. The fibers become ash and look like her hair as she dances. You can watch her, even fall in love with her, but the sad truth is this can only end in tragedy.

As a fire elemental she will grow and consume as she dances. As the holder of the wick you cannot allow this. This is not a love story, it is a tragedy.

For all her fire, for her spark of life, no matter how beautiful she dances for you. You must eventually Snuff her out. But you knew this when you summoned her. This little fact. Not only do you call her into existence you have a responsibility to Snuff her out.

Sometimes you watch her dance. Sometimes you summon her and snuff her out, using her to your purpose then quickly snuffing her out, as if she does not exist. But you have seen her, you know she is there. And you wonder why she would light you on fire just to watch you burn. So who really is the Monster here?
Monster.

The Vision of Tool

I was turned on to the music of Tool when I watched a U Tube video about Tool’s song “Lateralus” Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOHkeH2VaE0

But this is not what I am here to talk about. I was impressed by the Tool song “Right in two”

Right in Two is spoken from the perspective of the Angels. Faithful or Atheist neither of us knows the truth. Take a leap of faith for a moment and consider this.

The Angles were created by God to serve God, to watch over and protect man. The Angles are Divine beings serving God faithfully; and mankind? We humans fall, and rebel against God. With the Angels caught in the middle to clean up the mess. But God Loves mankind, it would seem, more than God loves the most faithful Angels. I don’t know about you, but if I was an Angel this preferential treatment of Humans just might piss me off.

According to the lore Lucifer, Gods Morning Star, favored son, rebelled against God basically over God giving free will to humanity. Free Will Man. Think about that for a minute. The Angels don’t have free will. Don’t believe me. Ask the 1/3 of the host of Heaven who fell with Lucifer. If this is free will it comes at a heavy price, Expulsion, from Heaven. Can you imagine being expelled from Heaven? Humans are disobedient, unfaithful, murderous, and ultimately corruptible. WTF did the Angels do to really be nothing more than Divine Janitors.

Some of us have been raised believing in God and his holy Angels. We tend to think that all is good and the Angels love us too. Yet, Lucifer a most favored Angel felt that we needed to be dominated, controlled, forced to obey God’s will. I really wonder if Lucifer was surprised by god’s judgment and punishment. I wonder about the 2/3 host of Heaven. How many of them saw what happened to Lucifer and thought. WTF I better keep my mouth shut.

So now to the song “Right in Two by Tool”

https://youtu.be/HBsZbL-Akms?list=RDHBsZbL-Akms

Angels on the sideline,
Puzzled and amused.
Why did Father give these humans free will?
Now they’re all confused

Don’t these talking monkeys know that
Eden has enough to go around?
Plenty in this holy garden, silly monkeys,
Where there’s one you’re bound to divide it.
Right in two.

I can be a little slow sometimes. It took me a moment to understand that Right in two illustrates our greedy and covetous nature. When we find something, don’t we use what we can then sell or triad it away? Don’t we bash in the head of anyone who looks greedily at what we have, or smugly rub our loot in the faces of others? We are Silly Monkeys. Consuming and diminishing what we touch. Do we really need all the things we hoard? Do Angels have cluttered garages where they live?

Angels on the sideline,
Baffled and confused.
Father blessed them all with reason.
And this is what they choose.
And this is what they choose…

Once again the ridiculousness of man is exposed.

Monkey killing monkey killing monkey
over pieces of the ground.
Silly monkeys give them thumbs,
They forge a blade,
And where there’s one
They’re bound to divide it,
Right in two.
Right in two.

From the outside looking in we look very foolish. And we can’t seem to abandon these things that keep us from a truly elevated way to live.

Monkey killing monkey killing monkey.
Over pieces of the ground.
Silly monkeys give them thumbs.
They make a club.
And beat their brother, down.
How they survive so misguided is a mystery.

This next line is one of my favorites.

Repugnant is a creature who would squander the ability to lift an eye to heaven conscious of his fleeting time here.

Stop and Smell the Roses Bitches and be good to each other..Duhhh.

Gotta divide it all right in two [4x]

Fight ’til they die over wind, over sky
They fight over life, over prayer, over air and light
Over love, over sun, over another
They fight though they die over words polarizing.

These are all things that we truly cannot own. And yet we struggle over nonsense. With our intellect, our souls, we are so close to a world of peace. It is our corruption that will destroy us. It is our foolish greed that keeps us so far away from the Golden City. It is our dishonesty that keeps us from open and honest debate in the arena of ideas. It is only honesty that can help us to construct the pillars to a better society. Condemned by “Gimmy it it’s Mine. Do What I say. Obey Me! It’s Mine!”

Angels on the sideline again.
Benched along with patience and reason.
Angels on the sideline again
Wondering when this tug of war will end.

Gotta divide it all right in two [3x]
Right in two!

Right in two.

Maynard James Keenan is the lyricist and signer for Tool. This man operates on a very high level. Mr. Keenan, or MJK, is an American singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, actor, author, and winemaker. He is best known as the vocalist for the rock bands Tool, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer. It is the truly gifted minds who excel in many endeavors and succeed at this level. Check him out.
