I am opening this generalized discussion on the mental and physical health benefits of leisure travel and seeking adventure in the laid back atmosphere of cruising.

Ok, Man, I would love to take this Dudeist Monk’s Journey out to the world via a 66 ft Gunboat. I just need 6 million to get started. Know of a cash machine that could help. Hay if I can dream, dream BIG.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ML6qWqJJ9u0

I find great comfort in cruising. If I’m having a particularly trying day, I will just hop in my car and go. I live in the city so it’s harder to cruise without having to stop. Growing up in the country was great. I could drive for hours without having to stop. Now I just do a huge loop around my city and take in the lights. Helps calm me down.

For me, a nice long leisurely solo bike ride really helps me re-center. I live out in the sticks, so that helps. Experiencing the beauty of nature while exercising is very zen for me.

I was just going to make a post titled “Ride to Abide” 🙂 whether car or, also in my case motorized bicycle, it’s so good to just go on a ride. Good way to analyze and reflect, or zone out and just take it easy 🙂 man.

I usually like to load up into my Jeep and head out into the wilderness. My mental & emotional needs determine where I go. Mountains, Beach, Desert…. I have discovered that if one is feeling overwhelmed or over loaded then the desert absolutely help with centering & resetting. Where as if one is feeling underwhelmed or drained the mountains are the place to be. But this may only apply to me. Each Dude is their own Dude.

Always used to throw the earbuds in with some super mellow chimes or meditation tracks, self-medicate a bit, and just walk around the neighborhood. I’d get 6-7 miles in before I really had a thought. Walking meditation is a great way to unplug, man.
