The Dude and the challenges of modern tachnology

Since the Dude introduced his lifestyle to the world, technology has changed our society a lot. As an educator I can see the results of this development almost every day and it makes me wonder how the Dude would feel towards smartphones and AI.
We know that he is a progressive mind who was a member of the student activist movement of the 60s. So I assume that he would not be against the progress of technology in general. On the other hand he likes to keep his mind limber and be creative. And he likes to jerk of manually, so he is a friend of the physical world and probaly would not spend too much time in the digital world? He also likes to hang out with his friends face to face. So how do you handle the challenges of more and more screen time and mind numbing AI content as fellow dudes? I think I lost my train of thought here.
