What if reincarnation is true, but we just have the time scales all wrong? Entropy will get you, the ones you love, the things you love, time will kill everything. But what if you don’t come back now, then, or really ever? What if you just drift freely in the open universe to see all that is, was, and will be? Moving from point to point seeing everything, knowing everything this universe holds secret. Only to outlast time itself, to watch the slow heat death of the universe, time having long since lost context or any real meaning to you as you watch the last stars flicker and fade. Lingering longer still as the last black holes evaporate and explode in bright flashes of gamma rays signaling the last flashes of light in this universe, leaving you drifting in the primeval dark until the timeless point when you are blinded by a bright flash as quantum fluctuations crack forth a new big bang and for you to be placed into this new universes very first intelligent life.
I found your idea rather intriguing. Thank you for the post!
