For serious contemplation of “abiding” a nice place to start is “The Dude and The Zen Master”
Conversational written, it delves into the philosophy and ways of the Dude, as it pertains to Daoism. The insight from the Master, the late Bernie Glassman, is enlightening!

I’m currently reading this book! I am really enjoying it. It has a very nice way of explaining what could be very difficult concepts in very simple ways “Row, row, row your boat–gently”
Happy to have another colleague in the Dudeist Studies department! (I have a post awaiting approval, probably because I typed a cuss word “F*** It)

I also highly recommend “The Abide Guide”
The Dude de Ching is a longer read for when you are in the mind for deep thoughts and pondering more weighty concerns

Ah yes, I’ve got both of those already.
Awesome books, both of them. I actually think that reading the ‘The Dude De Ching’ was something that helped me look at things a little differently and reduced my stress levels a bit. It was something like ‘You know what, I’m concentrating too much on the wrong things in life”. 🙂
Thanks for the recommendation anyway buddy.

It just took a while to go through. I think my office has restrictions for internet access and this site trips those up. All my issues come from that and appear to magically fix themselves once my phone is out of the office’s wifi range. Thank you for looking into this though!

Serious contemplation is antithetic to my understanding of the way of the Dude.
Whenever I have too many strands in my head I tend to go all Walter trying to solve the issue!
I feel most dude like when I just abide in the space I am occupying at that moment.
