Hi and welcome. The Abide University forum is an easygoing place to discuss interesting ideas. We welcome everyone, but participants are expected to behave and contribute to a peaceful learning environment. Anyone who makes personal insults to other members, or trolls in any way will be blocked. Thanks for your understanding.

Dr. B Oxley here…I just wanted to say that after all these years of tumbling along and trying to abide, finally a true place of learning with like minded compeers seems like a welcome sanctuary.
Now I just need to transfer these credits to the college I’ve been attending which has thus far been much less enjoyable!

The Rev. Dr. Abidingly just posting a quick hello. It seems strange there aren’t yet more on the rug here. I bet it will fill up in good time though. Glad to be here in this place of higher learning!

Hello fellow Dudes. Brand new here, and I’d like to thank the Dudes that be for a community where learning is a leisure. I chose a Doctorate in Philosophy of General Studies as I do a lot of thinking on a variety of random topics. I hope to contribute as much as I am able.
Abides to you all.

Hey Dudes!
Glad to see Abide U finally up and running! Gotta say, it’s been worth the wait. It’s obvious how much time and energy have gone into this, and I’ll do my part to make sure it stays more active than the forum over at the general website.
I’ve been ordained since 2011, and am a clinical psychologist in NYC. So this is actually my second PhD. The real one took 6 years to earn, and so far, this one wins hands down in the ease and fun categories. I chose “abiding counselor” or whatever, since I sneak dudeist principles into my clinical work all the time.
So, for others who want to dig into that specialty or the psychochemistry one, what should we talk about? Any way I can help you dudes be more supportive and healing in your daily lives? Pose some questions and I’ll do my best to share what I know, and I’m sure I’ll learn plenty from you dudes too.

Hello from The Arch-Dude of Wales. I have a BA(hons) in film and photography from another University, but this is not my only concern. In time I aim to study a veritable feast of subjects and (possibly) give me some answers to the many questions in this Duders head. I also aim to contribute some knowlege so that others may learn, and allow them to wander around slightly more or less confused. I should probably read the rest of this site before commiting to anything, but it’s good to be here and I’m thirsty for knowlege, as long as it’s not heavy or long or takes too much effort. Abide and take it easy, Dudes.

I dig it!
Been waiting a long time for this to get started.
I chose a few areas of interest based on my earned academic and applied studies:
Dudeist Studies, Abidance Counseling, Economicals, Simplicity Theory, and Biasology.
There are some great dudes in the community that have useful knowledge and experience to shed new light on ways to live an abiding life!
Can we set the forum to use our “Nick Names” rather than our logins?
Abide Well!

Season’Greetings.
Being a newcomer to this, i’m hoping that after a 27 year career being a ” Professional Driver ” , i might be able to share a ” philosophical ” view of Transportation both past and present.
I’m not sure where i begin or how to proceed so, any input would be welcomed.
Merry Christmas, one and all.

That’s the MO of our demographic though. I plan on being more active once my improv classes are over. I’m currently teaching 2 courses, one for kids and one for beginner adults. It’s taking a crazy toll on me mentally. I have some ideas for some additional “knowledge” I’d like to contribute once my duties in the Comedic Science world are less intensive.

Abide U man given the props of acknowledgement of the way learned through chill laid back observational education. It’s like super right on man, woman, and other like beings just being. It all ties the world together in the coffee can of life being thrown into the winds of wisdom. Sigh. I feel so accomplished in the moment like a true achiever that gets not being gotten and it’s all like ok man.
