AbidinglyParticipant
There is a link of an email address of where to send a manuscript but I don’t see anywhere listed about asking details. Hopefully you found an answer to this by now. If not, I would suggest that you check the Dudeism Sub-Forum about that topic and ask your question there:

They might have an answer or could at least direct you to the best page or email for this question?
Good luck brother! I’d love to see more people try to fill those covers. Some of them are just plain funny, but others sound like genuinely good ideas!
AbidinglyParticipantI have seen it mention in a few articles that the film is meant to be kind of a remake of the 1974 film “Going Places”.
I have not seen that film but here is a movie synopsis from the IMDB page of “Going Places (1974)”:
“Two whimsical, aimless thugs harass and assault women, steal, murder, and alternately charm, fight, or sprint their way out of trouble. They take whatever the bourgeois characters value: whether it’s cars, peace of mind, or daughters. Marie-Ange, a jaded, passive hairdresser, joins them as lover, cook, and mother confessor. She’s on her own search for seemingly unattainable sexual pleasure.”
I am not really sure what the film is trying to say. John Turturro has stated that the film is partially about “how men do dumb things”. I have heard him mention in another interview that there is a hairdresser in it but it sounds like the hairdresser in the Turturro version is an enemy of The Jesus and pals.
I agree that it’s a shame that this film is being associated with The Big Lebowski. It sounds like an exploration of completely different themes and ideas.
AbidinglyParticipantThanks for posting this man.
I love that you have such a loose and evolving structure for each service.
How did the last service go?
I would totally be down for something like this in my area but I am pretty sure there aren’t enough dudes locally here. Maybe someday. I appreciate you posting your model of what a Dudeist service could look like.
If I’m ever out that way I may check if you still have something going.

I didn’t realize there were any other Dudeists in Illinois. Nice to know you’re also out there!
I know it’s kind of a delayed response. I was away for a bit trying to spend less time on social media and less time online in general.
Glad I checked back in. It’s nice to see so many more folks here now!
Cheers!
AbidinglyParticipantThis would be a great feature to include eventually. It is nice to give feedback on a post or reply that is particularly interesting or enlightening.

AbidinglyParticipantDo you have a link to it you can share dude?
AbidinglyParticipantI kind of agree with the esteemed Dude above.
In my opinion Donny and Walter represent the two extremes in a person. Donny is far too passive, Walter is overly aggressive. The Dude being the middle ground that is not too angry or passive but a mixture of both in harmony that we should strive for. We are all sometimes too Walter or too Donny, but when we go with the flow and environment we are The Dude. I believe he represents an ideal to strive for. Maybe an unobtainable ideal but in the striving and the journey is the path to a more balanced life perhaps.
To answer your question, music helps me immensely in trying to regain my balance.
AbidinglyParticipantThe Rev. Dr. Abidingly just posting a quick hello. It seems strange there aren’t yet more on the rug here. I bet it will fill up in good time though. Glad to be here in this place of higher learning!
